How many times did you have the need to convert files from one format to another? Imagine PDF to DOC, PDF to HTML, DOC to HTML, JPG to BMP, WAV to MP3, you name it.
That’s what Zamzar brings to us, a very complete online file converter. I’ve discovered it through a listikal post and though I think the idea is great I’ve found a couple of drawbacks. First, and most important, the files aren’t converted on-the-spot, so you need to wait a while to receive the link on your e-mail (and it takes quite a while). Second, the site has too much ads for my taste (the overall look of the site is not very attractive).
But the diversity of formats supported and the usefulness of the service is awesome. I greatly recommend you to stop by and see for yourself. I’ll be adding it to my links.

Thanks for plug Pedro…Your drawbacks although somewhat valid, I do somewhat disagree with.
Regarding Slowness
#1: I’m guessing any files of significant size will take a while.
Regarding Ads
#2: How do you expect them to make any money back from bandwidth cost
listikal,
I do understand why they take a while. But the reality is that they do take quite a while. That can be a problem if you’re using it in a high productivity environment (not sure if you should, anyway).
About the ads 🙂 I know they need ads. But they’re cluttering up the site. I bet some good web designers might help them.

Paulo,
parece semelhante ao zamzar, alguma diferença que queiras apontar?
